The Two Lady Pinkertons Raspberry
Swirl Teacake
Young, sophisticated, twin sisters of culture, the two Lady Pinkertons
always live up to their name and surround themselves with all shades of
pink. The Lady Pinkertons', Cotton and Candy (CC for short), homes,
cars, clothes -- even the highlights in their hair -- are some shade of
their favorite color. The sisters are renowned throughout the English
empire for their impeccable taste -- in fashion, décor,
entertaining, and tea cakes, of course. Naturally, our Raspberry Swirl
Teacake --
with its pretty shades of pinks and reds -- is their top favorite.
Sir Jackson's Pumpkin Yumpkin Teacake
A man of stature and dashing good looks -- with a penchant for sardines
on toast (made of Great Harvest bread, of course) -- Sir Jackson moved
"across the pond" more than 30 years past. It is rumored that he made
his fortune in clandestine activities. Some say he was with Her
Majesty's Secret Service and was awarded a great fortune for her
bravery, while others whisper he gained his fortune through art
forgeries. Others say that he has at least three current wives. (No
wonder he needs so much money!) Sir Jackson confirms none of it.
However, he will talk freely, and at length, about the subtleties of
this delicious teacake.
Count Cunningham's Chocolate Brownie
Teacake
A distant cousin, at least twice removed, of Glen (Everett's own Great
Harvest Bread store's owner), Count Cunningham was, is perhaps, a man
of
adventure. When last seen, he was headed off on a grand quest to the
deep jungles of South America in a desperate, unwavering search for the
ultimate cocoa bean. Glen, who has inherited Count Cunningham's taste
for everything chocolate, has named this teacake in his honor.
Little Lady Lillibet Jazzy
Gingerbread Teacake
Just eight-years-old, with the longest red ringlets in her class and
bright blue eyes, Little Lady Lillibet knows exactly what she wants.
She loves very small dogs with very long tails; short stories about
pirates and high sea adventures; polka dot socks; and these tea cakes
most especially. Well, and all of her friends at the exclusive Miss
Madeline's Prim & Proper Prep School for Young Women, of
course.
(Except for snooty Cordelia Dalton. Ooooh.) Still, that unpleasantry
aside, sharing these teacakes with her friends and the headmistress
helps make Little Lady Lillibet very popular indeed.
The Duchess of Wenberg's Crazy 'Bout
Cranberries Teacake
Aaaaaahhhh, the Duchess of Wenberg, so little is known of this woman of
mystery -- but the rumors do fly. Most say she is a woman of mixed
lineage -- her mother was a spoiled princess who ran away with the
castle's court jester. Her father made people laugh, and yet, behind
the veil she nearly always wears, it is said she rarely smiles. Alas.
According to the few people who know, however, the Crazy 'Bout
Cranberries Teacake is one of the few things the Duchess of Wenberg
will lift her
veil for and smile ever so slightly.
The Knight of Monte Cristo's
Cinnamon Swirl & Twirl Teacake
Well-known for his quest for the "water of life," the Knight of Monte
Cristo instead stumbled into a Great Harvest Bread store on his long
journey and declared this teacake packed with "the wheat of life" and
"a treat to die for." While we think he might have overstated this
slightly, we do understand why he chose to declare his trek a success
and settle in a nearby neighborhood. Why continue searching when all
the media attention (we just don't get that many real knights in these
parts anymore) combined with easy access to these teacakes (not to
mention, plenty of stores that sell silver cleaner) have made this
corner of the world his bit of paradise?
Monty the Monkey's Bang the Bongos
Bananarama Banana Teacake
Once you taste this Great Harvest Banana Bread Teacake, you'll
understand why
we can't get Monty the Monkey to leave the store ever. Just the chance
that he could miss Bananarama Banana Teacake bake day has kept him
hanging around.
His penchant for this treat has caused our bakers serious problems.
It's hard for them to ever bake enough! Monty goes ape over the aroma
and tries to monkey around with the loaves before they're even out of
the oven! If you do manage to get your hands on one of these, hang on
tight. These loaves have strong "a-peel" for one crazy monkey from
Montana.
